Facts
1. In 1943 the Prime Minister invited 700 polish children to NZ for the duration of the war.
2. Kids were on trains and when they got to a station people would give them ice cream and lollies. But they didn't know what it was.
3. They couldn't ask about anything because they didn't speak English.
4. Lots of the children died on the way. They were lucky to have their siblings with them.
5. Lots of their parents died in war.
6. Most of the refugees decided to settle into NZ after the war.

Thinking about this module write about one thing you are doing well and one thing you need to improve on. * I am doing well with my reading group. We get on well and are on task. I need to put a bit more of the story into my answers.

Rainbow warrior
Rainbow warrior
The colourful ship gliding slowly.
The clear ocean rippling softly.
A mysterious dove swaying peacefully.
The wavy water moving gently.
The bright rainbow fading slowly above the horizon.

Whakataka te Hau
My artwork
I decided to add the fishing line to my artwork because the poem is about fishing. When the man explained the poem, he talked about kina and the sky turning to dawn. That's why I added those. when I pictured it in my head I thought, when he was fishing he would probably be near land so that's why I added mountains.

My team logo "FAB"
Line:We used the leaves and sticks for the line as well as a few letters.
Texture:We used texture in our rose by using different colors to shade in vibrancy and depth.
Balance: We used the letters to use balance by adding a similar shape by the ‘f’ and ‘b’, we made them capital and bold for a good and clean look on our logo.
Form: Our "fabulous"banner at the bottom had shading and mad it 3D.
Shape:One of the shapes on the banner is the fireflies separately spread across the banner. •
